Oldest son and his buddy has gone to the Lake of Stars festival 2010
They were meant to get a ride with his buddy's dad -
but they decided to take the bus instead
His buddy's mum and I
THOUGHT
it was because they wanted to go earlier
UNTIL
buddies mum called the "bus"
to confirm the tickets
She asked if they would be served a snack,
we worried about our boys would get
HUNGRY
on the 4 hours bus drive
"No madam -
only alcohol"
EXCUSE ME?
But Madam -
the bus driver will not drink"
But we figured
what can we do -
they are 18 years old and people comes all the way from
England to join this festival
It is going to be a memory for life
And
they can handle a bear or two
His buddy's dad will be there as well
he is playing the harmonica
in a band
I am sure they will have the time of their lives
Oliver Mtukudziis one of the many performers this year
He is a well known musician from Zimbabwe
My husband bought his music first time

I wish I could show pictures of the boys but
they don't want me to take photos of them
But they were quite cool 8 am this morning
sitting in our kitchen
drinking their coffee and talking about
bonding with new people
maybe not do the parashooting after all
(Thank you Lord)
and packing their backpacks with
mosquito repellents,
sunscreen,
deo and toothbrush
I took them to the bus at a backpacker place
close to our house
They jumped out of the car -
OUTSIDE THE GATE
very embarrassed about mum who absolutely
wanted to see the bus and have a chat with the
bus driver...
The boys walked in with their back packs and
mingled with the other people,
I drove in by my self
stopped the car in front of everyone
looked at the bus
chatted with the bus driver
and no one knew we was related
I can't wait until they are back
telling me about
everything
(yeah right)
Ok -
tellling me about
what mum's can bare to hear!
